About The Position

Join NORY, the premier STEM camp provider in NYC and Boston, where we shape future leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers. Welcoming over 4,000 campers annually across 10+ locations, our camps offer a magical and transformative experience akin to the Disney World of STEM education. We’re looking for a passionate Summer Camp Site Coordinator who embodies NORY’s core values and is eager to inspire both campers and teachers. In this role, you’ll serve as a go-to resource for instructional strategies, engage in hands-on teaching, support the Site Director and staff, assist with daily administrative tasks, and ensure that camp operations run seamlessly. This role offers professional leadership development, comprehensive STEM training, the opportunity to build lasting professional relationships, and a pathway to year-round opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven success guiding a team and cultivating a collaborative, supportive environment.
  • Experience building strong, positive relationships with families in a camp or educational setting.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching children ages 3–12 preferred, along with a genuine love for inspiring young minds.
  • A distinct growth mindset and a willingness to quickly adopt new technologies and skills.

Nice To Haves

  • No prior STEM experience is required as robust training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Lead your assigned group of campers with engaging activities that bring NORY’s core values to life, inspiring curiosity and enthusiasm.
  • Work closely with your Site Director to coach and train teachers, helping them understand the purpose behind each activity and effectively implement safety and engagement protocols.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with campers and their families, creating a welcoming, supportive experience for everyone involved.
  • Oversee essential resources, including materials, facilities, and daily schedules, to ensure camp operations run smoothly.
  • Provide daily support to ensure the camp’s three pillars—Safety, Fun, and NORY Core Values (resilience, inquisitiveness, and empathy)—are met.
