The Summer Construction Intern will support the completion of the BOCES built Habitat house. Through hands on assistance the interns will finish the framing, basic electrical and plumbing tasks, along with general site construction tasks. This paid summer internship is designed for individuals interested in gaining real world construction experience while learning safe jobsite practices and building foundational trade skills under supervision. Ideal candidates will be enrolled in a Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES (WFL BOCES) construction trade program and will have already worked on the house during their time at WFL BOCES. This is an 8-week internship running approximately July 6 through August 29. Work will primarily take place at the BOCES-built house located in Geneva; however, travel to other locations may occasionally be required based on project needs.
