About The Position

New York City FC Summer Camps provide young players with a fun, inclusive, and development-focused soccer experience inspired by the NYCFC playing philosophy. Our camps are designed to help players of all abilities improve technically, grow in confidence, and develop a lifelong love for the game in a safe and energetic environment. We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced coaches to join our Summer Camps staff and help deliver high-quality soccer programming across the New York metropolitan area. New York City FC Summer Camps Coaches are responsible for delivering engaging soccer sessions for players ages 5–14 while creating a positive and professional camp environment. Coaches will lead age-appropriate activities aligned with NYCFC’s coaching methodology and ensure every participant has a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience. This is an ideal opportunity for coaches who are passionate about youth development, player engagement, and representing one of Major League Soccer’s premier clubs.

Requirements

• Previous experience coaching or working with youth players ages 5–14
• Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals and player development principles
• Ability to lead groups in a positive, energetic, and organized manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Availability to work weekdays during summer camp season
• Applicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYCFC

Nice To Haves

• US Soccer, United Soccer Coaches, UEFA, or equivalent coaching certification
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Experience working in camps, clinics, or youth sports programs
• Collegiate playing or coaching experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily soccer sessions aligned with NYCFC coaching curriculum and methodology
• Lead technical activities, small-sided games, and camp competitions for players of varying skill levels
• Foster a positive learning environment focused on development, effort, teamwork, and enjoyment
• Adapt coaching sessions based on age, ability, and group dynamics
• Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to campers
• Arrive prepared and on time for all camp sessions, meetings, and setup responsibilities
• Assist with daily camp setup, breakdown, attendance, and equipment management
• Maintain a safe and organized training environment at all times
• Follow all NYCFC safety protocols, emergency procedures, and operational guidelines
• Communicate professionally with camp directors, staff, parents, and participants
• Serve as a positive ambassador for NYCFC and City Football Group
• Demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and leadership on and off the field
• Promote an inclusive and respectful environment for all participants and staff
• Uphold the values and standards of NYCFC Youth Programs
