About The Position

Assist with camps and conferences that are taking place at the university. This is a temporary student worker position for the 2026 Summer Semester. Please note: Hiring for this position is subject to funding availability and a limited number of openings. Applying does not guarantee employment.

Requirements

Saint Leo University student preferred; summer campus residency preferred
Current CPR, AED, and First Aid Certificate preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication and customer service skills
Willingness to take initiative and assist where needed
Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and sun exposure
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Ability to remain calm and responsive in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations

Responsibilities

Assist with operational needs for camps, conferences, and events, including but not limited to:
Serve as a liaison between camp coordinators and university departments to support daily operations
Set up and break down event spaces, including tables, chairs, equipment, and room configurations
Prepare athletic and event spaces (e.g., setting up tents or laying carpet, lining fields, setting up water stations)
Assist with overnight camp logistics, including check-in, check-out, and room setup
Support basic audiovisual and media equipment setup as needed
Monitor weather alerts and communicate safety procedures, including evacuation of outdoor spaces when necessary
Maintain the cleanliness of facilities, including trash collection and general upkeep of event areas
Provide general customer service and support to campers, staff, and guests
Complete additional operational projects and tasks assigned during downtime
