Summer Camp Youth Sports Instructor - Kent
About The Position
Serve as an Instructor/Counselor for our multi-sport camp, which includes participants ages 4-11 in a recreational setting. Our Summer Camps run Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. for 7 weeks (June 29 – August 14). You will be responsible for greeting parents and participants, providing excellent customer service, overseeing and actively engaging with groups during passive/active games, drills, and more. We are currently hiring for the following locations: KENTRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL (7/6-7/8, 7/10 & 8/3-8/6; 8:30am-Noon) KENT MERIDIAN HIGH SCHOOL (7/20-7/23; 8:30am-Noon) Training shift: Must be able to attend a four-hour training shift at Tyee Middle School in Bellevue on June 30 or July 1.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
- Awareness and ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of participants
- Must be a critical thinker, have situational awareness, and great attention to detail
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
- Must have reliable transportation and be dependable. We do not tolerate callouts.
