About The Position
Plans, leads, and implements camp programs for youth aged 5-16. Provides high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants. Ensures the safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being of campers.
Requirements
- 1-2 years’ experience working with youth.
- Ability to engage in physical activities with campers.
- Ability to work with diverse population.
- Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities
- Plans, coordinates, and organizes camp activities for youth.
- Supervises and participates with campers at activity sites.
- Mentors and guides youth individually and in groups while using a behavior management system to shape youth behavior.
- Builds relationships with all campers showing compassion, empathy, and understanding.
- Sets an example for behavior and attitude for campers.
- Maintains attendance daily, at the beginning and throughout the day.
- Maintains required camp data.
- Develops and maintains working relationships with parents/guardians.
- Transports campers to and from activity sites.
- Performs other duties as assigned to promote the overall mission and vision of CND.
