About The Position

Plans, leads, and implements camp programs for youth. Provides high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants. Ensures campers' safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being. These individuals will work with youth ages 5-16.

Requirements

1-2 years’ experience working with youth.
Ability to engage in physical activities with campers.
Ability to work with diverse population.
Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Plans, coordinates, and organizes camp activities for youth.
Supervises and participates with campers at activity sites.
Mentors and guides youth individually and in groups while using a behavior management system to shape youth behavior.
Builds relationships with all campers showing compassion, empathy, and understanding.
Sets an example for behavior and attitude for campers.
Maintains attendance daily, at the beginning and throughout the day.
Maintains required camp data.
Develops and maintains working relationships with parents/guardians.
Transports campers to and from activity sites.
Performs other duties as assigned to promote the overall mission and vision of CND.
