Summer Camp Teacher
About The Position
Guidepost Montessori is hiring Summer Camp Teachers for its 2026 summer program at the Princeton Meadows school. Camps run from June through August, and both full-time and part-time roles are available. In this role, you will support the Lead Teacher in helping children develop independence and confidence. The position offers an opportunity to begin a career in Montessori and early childhood education, with potential for growth into Lead Guide roles through the MACTE-accredited Montessori training program. Full-time roles include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k), competitive pay, and a 75% tuition discount for up to two children at the school. Requirements
- Familiarity with the development of young children.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to grow and learn.
- A valid negative TB test from within the last 12 months, or willingness to obtain one before the start date.
- A valid CPR certification, or willingness to become certified before the start date.
- Excitement about learning more about Montessori education.
Responsibilities
- Observe children closely to understand and meet their needs.
- Prepare a beautiful, orderly environment that fosters independence and concentration.
- Provide individual and small-group lessons to support each child’s development.
- Form personal connections with each child and cultivate a community of collaboration and respect.
- Support the Lead Teacher in guiding children toward greater independence and confidence.
