About The Position

Camp Easterseals Virginia (ESVA) is hiring passionate and energetic Camp Counselors to join them in the Blue Ridge Mountains of New Castle, VA. As a Camp Counselor, you will help create a positive, inclusive environment for campers. You will work closely with assigned camper(s) to support them in a variety of daily activities, including arts and crafts, adapted sports, swimming, and campfires. You will also assist with personal care tasks such as transfers, feeding, and dressing, ensuring every camper has a safe and enjoyable experience. This role is more than a job; it's an opportunity to make a real difference and create life-changing experiences for children and adults of all abilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Physically able to lift and assist with transfers (up to 45 lbs) and assist with other personal care tasks.
• Must be comfortable with bending and kneeling.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 4 weeks at the camp.
• Compassion, dedication, and a heart for helping others.

Nice To Haves

• Some college coursework preferred.
