About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking Summer Camp Counselors to guide campers through a summer filled with fun, friendship, and unforgettable adventures. This is your chance to lead, inspire, and create lifelong memories for children while being part of a supportive, award-winning team. Schedule: Summer: Monday–Friday, shifts between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Potential to continue beyond summer with different hours Location: John D. Perkins Elementary School in Marlow, NH Status: Part-time, non-exempt Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Featured Benefit: Employer-Paid Childcare Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 and hold a high school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment that engages and supports children, families, and staff
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience interacting with families and supporting parent engagement
• Ability to support community outreach initiatives to promote programs and engage prospective families
• Maintains professionalism, reliability, and punctuality, while modeling enthusiasm, positivity, and a can-do attitude
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including bending, stretching, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children

Responsibilities

• Support daily camp activities, including games, projects, special events, and themed arts & crafts.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment where campers feel supported, encouraged, and engaged
• Ensure camper safety and follow all state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school policies
• Communicate daily with families using the Playground App and provide support during parent orientations
• Support community outreach to promote the program and engage prospective families
• Lead by example with enthusiasm, positivity, and a can-do attitude
