About The Position

KidStrong is a rapidly growing company that helps parents build stronger, smarter, and more athletic kids. We focus on accelerating child development for children aged walking to 11 years old, helping them build confidence and essential life skills. We are seeking talented, enthusiastic, and passionate professionals to join our team in NJ/CT, who are excited to engage with parents and children and make a positive impact on their lives. This role involves coaching children through a designed camp curriculum focused on brain, physical, and character development. The ideal candidate will have an athletic or coaching background, experience with children aged 4-9, and be comfortable communicating with parents about their child's progress and any incidents. Camps typically run from 9 am to 2:30 pm, with potential for additional hours through private party and class coaching.

Requirements

Passion for working with children is non-negotiable.
Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred.
CPR certified.
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
Self-starter who just gets a job done.
Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents that take place during camp.
Available during camp hours (typically 9 am - 2:30 pm), with potential for additional hours.
Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment.
Must be comfortable working 'hands-on' with kids.

Nice To Haves

Athletic or coaching background.
Experience in summer camps or coaching kids ages 4 - 9.

Responsibilities

Coach children on brain, physical, and character development based on a designed camp curriculum.
Ensure camps start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of the curriculum.
Greet students and parents/guardians upon arrival.
Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor while leading camp.
Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises.
Keep accurate attendance records.
Ensure the cleanliness of the center, including taking out trash, sweeping, mopping, wiping equipment, and sanitizing mats.
Use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records for parents.
Communicate professionally with co-workers via Slack.
Complete required training through LearnUpon.
Work in a physically intensive environment, potentially covering miles and lifting/moving equipment up to 25 pounds.
Work hands-on with kids to ensure proper technique and safety.
Attend mandatory staff meetings.
Obtain camp-certified status.
Provide supervision, safety, and program implementation for campers, ensuring their well-being.
