About The Position
Chess Wizards is seeking energetic individuals to teach chess in summer camps for Summer 2026. This role is ideal for those willing to travel, who love chess, and can make learning fun for children of all ages. The camp utilizes an interactive day-camp format with a variety of activities designed to keep campers physically and mentally engaged. Activities include team chess games, puzzles, skill-building, and physical games, integrating the whole person into the camp experience. A typical day involves exploring chess concepts, engaging in fun group challenges, enjoying a healthy snack, participating in mini-tournaments, and playing physical activities and camp games like capture-the-flag and blob tag.
Requirements
- Willingness to teach through fun and innovative methods.
- Must be safety and security conscious.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations.

Responsibilities
- Assist our Chess Instructors in teaching chess to campers.
- Create a safe, supportive, stimulating, and fun environment for campers.
- Interact with campers, adding to the program by providing supervision for daily activities such as recreational games, and opening/closing.
- Assist in drop-off and pick-up of campers.
- Assist with daily set up and clean-up of camp.
- Supervise campers.
