CDC Summer Camp Assistants--Full- and Part-Time available!
About The Position
The Summer Camp Assistant Teacher supports Lead Teachers and program staff in providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate camp experience for children. This role assists with daily activities, supervision, and implementation of curriculum while ensuring compliance with Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations. Positions available: Full- and Part-time positions available between 7:00am-5:30pm. Seasonal or permanent positions available. Locations include Asbury CDC (3814 Asbury Road) and Saint George School (1612 Bryant Street). Benefits include: Discount on CDC programs and summer camp enrollment, as well as a sibling discount.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent for Assistant positions.
- Experience working with children in a camp, school or childcare setting preferred.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum age requirement 18+.

Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Teachers in planning and implementing daily camp activities (arts, recreation, educational enrichment).
- Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being.
- Help maintain a structured, inclusive, and positive environment.
- Support behavior management using approved guidance techniques.
- Assist with meal/snack distribution and ensure proper hygiene practices.
- Monitor attendance and help with check-in/check-out procedures.
