About The Position

The Summer Bartender position at Bogus Basin helps create a fun and memorable experience while maintaining a clean environment and controlling the sale of alcohol in a safe manner during the summer operational season. Bogus Basin is a four-season mountain recreation area located just 16 miles from Boise, Idaho. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Bogus Basin is dedicated to providing accessible, affordable outdoor recreation, education, and community programming year-round. Every dollar earned is reinvested into the mountain and its people. Our values of kindness, respect, professionalism, and fun shape a workplace where everyone is welcome. Bogus Basin offers year-round activities from skiing and snowboarding in the winter to mountain biking, hiking, and scenic chairlift rides in the summer. Requirements

• Passionate about Bogus Basin’s Mission.
• Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work mid-May through mid-October.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a server or bartender preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Assist guests with questions and make recommendations based off guests’ needs and preferences.
• Abide by local and federal alcohol regulations.
• Abide by local and federal health and safety standards.
• Accurately perform cash and credit card transactions.
• Prepare, stock, and clean the bar area.
• Exhibit and promote safe practices including the control of alcohol consumption; report any unsafe conditions or situations to the Supervisor / Manager on duty.
• Exhibit outstanding customer service skills and maintain a professional attitude toward guests and staff.
• Perform other related tasks, as necessary.
