The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, established on October 1, 1940, is known as “America’s First Superhighway” with a mission to operate a safe, reliable, customer-valued toll road system supporting national mobility and commerce. It manages a 565-mile system with over 205 million transactions annually, aiming to build the highway of the future. This seasonal position is designed to provide routine support in the maintenance and repair of automotive and related equipment for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC). Work is initially reviewed closely, and close supervision is received when new work processes or procedures are introduced; however, employees are expected to perform with limited guidance after the work process is learned. Pennsylvania residency is required for summer employment.
