About The Position

Lazard is hiring a 2027 Summer Associate for its San Francisco Healthcare Banking Group. The associate will become an integral member of a team advising industry-leading and emerging companies across the biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and life science tools sectors. The San Francisco team is part of Lazard’s Global Healthcare Group and collaborates with colleagues around the world on international transactions.

Day-to-day responsibilities depend on the associate’s prior experience and abilities and include financial analysis and modeling, preparing client presentations and marketing materials, and interacting with clients. The internship begins with a week-long comprehensive training program in New York. Throughout the program, associates receive formal mentorship, exposure to the Leadership Team, and opportunities to participate in social and networking events with bankers across the Firm.

Requirements

• Have 2–3 years of prior work experience.
• Be currently matriculated in an MBA or JD program and be within two years of graduation.
• Demonstrate top academic performance.
• Show motivation, creativity, maturity, and poise.
• Have a strong quantitative background and strong analytical skills.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Have strong attention to detail.
• Be able to multitask.
• Have an interest in working in San Francisco.
