About The Position

Ice Miller is seeking Summer Associates to join its Columbus, Ohio office for a two-year experience, participating in the Summer Associate program during both the 2027 1L summer and 2028 2L summer. The 10-week program provides opportunities to work directly with attorneys on real-world legal matters and develop research, writing, and presentation skills. Associates receive guidance and mentorship from an associate and partner mentor, comprehensive training in professional and legal skills, opportunities for client interaction, social events and team-building activities, and competitive compensation. Requirements

Be enrolled in the J.D. class of 2029 at an accredited law school.
Have earned at least an undergraduate degree.
Have permanent authorization to work in the United States.
Have excellent academic credentials.
Demonstrate leadership on campus or in the community, motivation for meaningful work and new challenges, effective communication and relationship-building skills, and organization, dependability, and drive to succeed.
Submit a resume, a cover letter referencing practice area preference and ties to Columbus, and an undergraduate transcript. Send the fall-semester transcript once grades are released.
