About The Position
This is a seasonal position at Palisades Tahoe. The Summer Activities Attendant will assist in the operation, set up, and maintenance of various recreational activities including the Roller Rink, Sky Jump, Mini Golf, Playground, Lawn Games, and Hiking Trails. The role requires maintaining a clean and enjoyable atmosphere while ensuring guest compliance with safety regulations. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
- Previous experience working in a customer service environment.
- Enthusiasm for the outdoors and natural Tahoe area.
- Effective communication skills, oral & written.
- Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness.
- Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards.
- Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time.
- Work well as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledgeable about all aspects of Palisades Tahoe or be able to locate information.
- CPR certification or Wilderness first responder training.
- Previous experience with Roller Rink operations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Sky Jump operations experience.
- Outdoor recreation & activities experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation, set up and maintenance of the Roller Rink, Sky Jump, Mini Golf, Playground, Lawn Games, and Hiking Trails.
- Maintain a clean and enjoyable atmosphere at all times.
- Ensure guest compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
- Greet all guests and answer questions about Palisades Tahoe activities and equipment.
- Assist in setting up activity equipment.
- Ensure all guests know the activity rules.
- Conduct safety training and assist guests with becoming familiar with the operation of the activity, safety, and procedures.
- Rent equipment, process cash, credit cards or debit payments and account closeout at the end of the day.
- Maintain the Roller Rink, Sky Jump, Mini Golf, Playground, and Lawn Games.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the activity area; pick up litter and empty trash, snow removal as necessary.
- Ensure facility maintains a clean and professional appearance.
- Assist with the cleaning, repair, inspection, and maintenance of the activity equipment.
- Assist guest with the use of elevators at High Camp.
- May operate heavy equipment such as ASV, UTV (side by side), or Truck.
