About The Position
The Summer Academy Student Worker will provide high-quality support for students in the Summer Academy classes. This role involves assisting students with assignments, strengthening their vocabulary, and reinforcing instruction as directed by the teacher. The student worker will also help maintain student progress records, oversee students in labs and instructional areas, and ensure their health and safety. Additionally, the role requires providing emotional support, a friendly attitude, and general guidance to students, while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities
- Help students with assignments in Summer Academy classes.
- Provide students with vocabulary activities to strengthen their vocabulary to increase academic skills across settings.
- Tutor individuals or small groups of students.
- Reinforce and implement instruction as directed by the teacher.
- Maintain records of student progress.
- Assist in overseeing students while in labs or other instructional areas.
- Assure the health and safety of students by following health and safety practices and regulations.
- Assist students by providing proper examples, emotional support, a friendly attitude, and general guidance.
- Maintain confidentiality of students and/or staff.
- Perform duties as assigned.
