About The Position

This internship program is designed for college students to gain hands-on experience applying their technical studies and learning the intricacies of the A/E industry. Interns will work on meaningful projects that complement their academic coursework, facilitating a smooth transition from student to professional. C&S Companies is a national planning, design, and construction firm with over 600 employees, specializing in critical infrastructure across various sectors including aviation, civil/site infrastructure, construction management, energy, environmental, facilities, architecture, planning, sustainability, and transportation. Requirements

Currently a matriculated undergraduate or graduate student.
Pursuing a relevant course of study (Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, etc.).
Must have completed sophomore year of Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or related program.
Strong desire to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering.
Solid analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills.
Resourceful and self-motivated.
Solid organizational skills with a focus on details.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
Available for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
Previous internship experience and/or involvement as an active member of related professional student association a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform, under close supervision, routine aspects of electrical engineering, requiring knowledge and application of principles learned in course of study.
May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform tasks.
Collect and prepare data for evaluation.
Assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
Provide support to staff members as needed.
