About The Position

The Suitability Specialist provides administrative and analytical support for personnel suitability, background investigation, and security-related processes supporting USARCENT. This position reviews and processes personnel information, coordinates required documentation and administrative actions, maintains accurate records, and helps ensure compliance with applicable personnel suitability, security, privacy, and organizational requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Strong administrative, analytical, organizational, and records-management skills.
  • Ability to review detailed personnel information and identify discrepancies or missing documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
  • Ability to exercise discretion when handling sensitive personnel and security-related information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic recordkeeping systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting personnel suitability, background investigations, personnel security, or adjudication processes.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense, federal government, military, or government-contractor environment.
  • Familiarity with federal personnel suitability and security-related administrative requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review personnel suitability and security-related information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements.
  • Process suitability, background investigation, personnel security, and related administrative documentation.
  • Coordinate with applicants, employees, government personnel, security representatives, and other stakeholders to obtain required information and resolve documentation issues.
  • Track the status of suitability reviews, investigations, required actions, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate, current, and properly organized personnel suitability and security records.
  • Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Support the preparation and submission of suitability and personnel security documentation.
  • Respond to authorized requests for information and provide status updates to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with records reviews, compliance checks, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Protect sensitive personnel and security information in accordance with privacy, security, and records-management requirements.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, tracking logs, and other administrative products.
  • Support additional personnel security, suitability, and administrative requirements as assigned.
