About The Position

Sugarcane Machinery Mechanic - Permanent full-time position at Cajun Sugar Company, LLC in New Iberia, Louisiana. Maintain, repair, and overhaul sugarcane farm/mill machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, combines, boilers, and irrigation systems. Dismantle defective Sugarcane machinery for repair. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Reassemble sugarcane machinery and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments or calibration as necessary. Tune or overhaul sugarcane farm equipment and machinery engines. Operate Sugarcane farm equipment to drive and haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large state-of-the-art Sugarcane machinery for the Sugar mill. Drive tractor trailers and 18 wheelers on Cajun Sugar Company, LLC property to repair area or for testing after repair. Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial Sugarcane machines.

Requirements

• Two (2) years' verifiable experience in Sugarcane Equipment and Machinery Repair/Operations.
• A Commercial Driver's License (CDL - Class B) or its international equivalent valid for use in the United States.
