SUE Technician Laborer - Chesapeake, VA
About The Position
Accumark, a division of National Underground Group, provides subsurface utility designation, mapping, and locating services to utility owners, federal agencies, and engineering firms. The company is hiring a SUE Technician Laborer crew member with instrument experience to work out of its Chesapeake, Virginia office. The role supports utility designation crews and includes field work, data documentation, equipment care, and safety practices. Instructor-led training is required to receive locator certification. The standard schedule is four 10-hour workdays per week, with occasional overtime and five- or six-day workweeks required.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn; instructor-led training is required to receive locator certification.
- Ability to drive local roads, work outdoors, and operate independently.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to use a computer to complete documentation and receive and send email.
- Physical ability to work a 10-hour day in cold, hot, and wet environments.
- Instrument experience.
Responsibilities
