The Prototypes Women’s Center in Oxnard offers residential substance abuse treatment and detox services specifically for women, including those with children. The program supports women with co-occurring disorders, providing a secure environment for mothers and children to foster attachment while accessing mental health and educational support. The facility can accommodate up to 56 women and 28 children. The SUD Counselor I is a key member of an interdisciplinary team, responsible for assessing client needs and strengths to support their health and recovery. This role involves in-person counseling in individual and group settings, delivering program-specific curricula, case management, and assisting clients in navigating systems of care within a supportive treatment environment. Services can be delivered flexibly in outpatient offices, residential facilities, or in the community, requiring reliable transportation.
