HealthRIGHT 360 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. Our mission is to address systemic barriers to healthcare and promote health equity. We offer a range of services including mental health care, residential and outpatient substance use treatment, and primary health services, as well as transitional support for individuals re-entering the community. We integrate physical and behavioral health to empower individuals, foster resilience, and facilitate recovery. The Martin Luther King Jr. Behavioral Health Center (MLK BHC) is a program of HealthRIGHT 360, contracted with the Department of Public Health's Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) program. MLK BHC provides residential Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services for up to 99 adult individuals, with 33 beds each for judicially involved men, men, and women. Located on the Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital campus in South Los Angeles, the program serves residents of all Los Angeles County and collaborates with other Behavioral Health Center programs to offer a comprehensive range of services for low-income and Medi-Cal-eligible individuals. The SUD Counselor I is a key member of an interdisciplinary team, supporting clients through assessment of their needs and strengths to promote their health and recovery. This in-person role involves providing individual and group counseling, delivering program-specific curricula, offering case management, and assisting clients in navigating systems of care within a supportive treatment environment.
