About The Position

Unison Health is seeking a Substance Abuse Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program. The ACT Program is an evidence-based model that provides comprehensive community-based behavioral health services to adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses who have not benefited from traditional outpatient treatment. The ACT model uses a multidisciplinary team of providers who collaborate to deliver services tailored to the needs of the clients. Requirements

  • QMHS 3+ with high school diploma required.
  • CDCA (can be obtained within 6 months of hire).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in integrated dual disorders treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to assist in resolving or minimizing the effects of a client's impairment.
  • Complete assessments, monitoring of conditions, and crisis interventions.
  • Provide education, linking, and training in community resources to clients.
  • Assist in daily living skills and help with obtaining necessary services for meeting basic human needs and entitlements.
  • Participate as a member of the ACT treatment team and serve as a consultant to the team in the area of substance abuse.
