About The Position

Substitute Teaching Position Candidates may opt for either preference of age group or b open to all grades: Elementary Campus Teacher (K-6, all subjects) or Upper Grade Campus Teacher (subject-specific one hour courses, grades 7-12). Teachers at Vine will follow the planned lessons for the day in an enriching, engaging environment focused on providing learners with a fun, tactile experience. No homework should be sent home unless necessary and with immediate communication to the parents - this is Vine policy. Strong classroom management is required. Belief in the essence of homeschooling and the ability to partner with parents as co-teachers and respect their authority and educational priorities are essential to thrive in this position. High-level encouragement of students both educationally and spiritually - incentive-based structures favor punishment- or consequence-based class structures. Class sizes range from 15 students in our youngest grades up to 24 students in our upper grades. Campus Days Commitments: Campus is hosted on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Upper grade hours are 8am to 2pm with one-hour course subject blocks. Elementary school hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:30pm. Teacher arrival expectations set at 7:30am for upper grades and 7:45am elementary, each campus day. The academic year runs weekly from August to May.
