About The Position
Spotsylvania County Public Schools is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Substitute Teachers who will serve in a critical role that supports the educational environment in the absence of the classroom teacher. As a Substitute at SCPS, you will teach lesson plans as outlined by the teacher, encourage and maintain a positive classroom environment and work closely with students to ensure their academic needs are met. Supported by members of staff and administration, this position offers many networking and experience opportunities to those new to Education AND those who have been a part of this industry for many years. This role is ideal for those who crave a challenge, adapt easily to new environments and who enjoy working closely with students!
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Negative tuberculosis (TB) test result must be presented prior to application consideration
- If an applicant is under 21, proof of enrollment in an education program must be provided
