About The Position

SMART Management is a mission-driven education management organization that supports high-quality Pre-K–12 charter schools across Florida. They partner with school leaders and governing boards to build strong academic, operational, and cultural systems. BridgePrep Academy, the largest network supported by SMART Management, serves students across 21 schools, providing a rigorous, student-centered academic experience enriched by an extended Spanish language program. Educators at BridgePrep are part of a collaborative, growth-oriented community with high expectations and strong support. The Teacher serves as the instructional leader of their classroom, responsible for ensuring strong student achievement, effective teaching practices, and a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. This role reports to the principal or campus administrator and involves delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction, supporting diverse student needs, maintaining classroom culture, and engaging families as partners in learning. The Teacher is expected to implement the curriculum with fidelity, create structured and joyful learning environments, and use data to inform instruction and interventions. This position requires a reflective and committed educator who holds high expectations for all students, builds strong relationships, responds to feedback, and contributes to a school culture where every student is known, supported, and successful.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Valid or eligible Florida teaching certification
  • Alignment with SMART Management & BridgePrep Academy’s mission and values
  • Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, in accordance with House Bill 531 (2025)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver daily standards-aligned lessons
  • Implement curriculum, assessments, and instructional frameworks as designed
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor learning
  • Provide targeted small-group and individual instruction
  • Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines
  • Implement schoolwide behavior systems with fidelity
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
  • Support diverse learners including ESE, 504, ELL and intervention students
  • Implement accommodations and modifications as required
  • Communicate student progress and concerns with families
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings, PD, and coaching sessions
  • Submit lesson plans, data, and compliance documentation on time
  • Uphold all school policies, procedures and professional expectations
  • Ensure the classroom provides rigorous, student-centered learning and that all students receive the instruction, support, and culture they need to achieve academic success and personal growth.
