About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Substitute Lunch and After School Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for elementary students during lunch and after-school programming. This on-call role fills in as needed to lead structured activities, assist with homework, and ensure students’ well-being. The position is based in Mission Viejo, California, with program hours between 11:00 AM–2:00 PM and 3:00 PM–5:00 PM, depending on program needs. The pay range is $21.00–$24.00. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with elementary-age children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility, patience, and enthusiasm for working with children.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage elementary students in after-school activities, maintaining a positive and safe environment.
- Assist students with homework by providing guidance and encouragement.
- Perform light sweeping, wipe down tables, and remove trash.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
- Maintain program rules, policies, and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
