About The Position
The Lunch and Extended Day Teacher supports the day-to-day operations of the campus by supervising elementary students during meal service and extended-day activities. The role includes indoor and outdoor play, crafts, games, snacks, and homework assistance, while maintaining a safe learning environment and providing students with safe supervision and care. The position also involves light cleanup, including sweeping, wiping tables, and removing trash.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and the ability to connect with a variety of colleagues and students.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with children.
Responsibilities
- Monitor student behavior during meal service.
- Plan and organize after-school arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities.
- Assist students with homework.
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff members.
- Safely supervise and care for students.
- Perform light sweeping, wipe down tables, and remove trash.
