About The Position
Teachers Now is hiring Substitute Teachers to support schools throughout the San Antonio area. This is a flexible opportunity to work with students, gain classroom experience, and make a difference. Military members, veterans, and retired teachers are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Minimum of 60 college credit hours OR an Associate's Degree
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and professional
- Passion for supporting student learning in a K–12 environment
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of childcare, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or related experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans and guide students through daily instruction
- Maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and keep students engaged
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess as needed
- Communicate with school administrators and staff
- For long-term assignments, additional responsibilities may include lesson planning and enhanced classroom support.
