About The Position
Substitute Teachers at ESN provide meaningful instruction and classroom management in the absence of a regular teacher. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting a nurturing learning environment.
Requirements
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to engage with children in a positive and supportive way
- Flexibility and dependability a must
- Must pass a background check
- Must complete required child safety training before beginning work
Nice To Haves
- College degree preferred
- Prior teaching, substitute teaching, or childcare experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver lesson plans provided by the teacher or team
- Maintain classroom routines and expectations
- Ensure the safety and supervision of students at all times
- Communicate any notes or concerns from the day to school leadership
- Follow ESN's behavior expectations and emergency procedures
