About The Position
Lakeside School, an independent coeducational day school in North Seattle, is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2025 school year to teach in-person classes across all subject areas. Substitute teachers will share their availability and can check online for open positions. When an absence is noted, substitute teachers will be contacted based on their provided information to cover teaching responsibilities. Opportunities range from one to several days. This application is for on-call substitute positions, separate from long-term substitute roles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience teaching middle school students and/or high school students.
- Computer literate on a PC platform.
- Must satisfactorily complete at least two comprehensive background checks.
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching in a hybrid or online environment.
Responsibilities
- Cover classes on an as-needed basis.
- Utilize class syllabus and teaching materials provided.
- Provide classroom instruction.
- Adhere to the teacher's lesson plans.
- Ensure the safety of students while in the classroom.
