About The Position
Hermiston School District is seeking qualified applicants to serve on-call as a substitute teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidates will work on-call performing teaching duties within the Hermiston School District. The pay for substitute teachers for the 2026-2027 school year is pending Board approval on July 13, 2026.
Requirements
- Hold an Oregon Teacher license or the ability to obtain one.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally-accredited institution in the United States or hold a foreign equivalent degree, as approved by the Oregon licensing commission, Teacher Standards and Practices (official transcripts required).
- Must be able to successfully pass a fingerprint based background clearance check.
Nice To Haves
- If you do not hold a Bachelor's degree, but are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree, Teacher Education/Licensure program, there is a District Sponsored Substitute license available.
