About The Position
The Village School of Naples is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Middle and Upper School Substitute Teachers to support its classrooms. The role supervises the education of students in grades 6 through 12 as assigned, helping guide students academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a temporary, part-time position on an on-call and as-needed basis.
Requirements
- At least a four-year degree; preferably in education and in the area to be taught.
- Strong support for The Village School’s stated learning philosophy.
- Understanding of 21st-century classroom practices and interdisciplinary connections.
- Strong spoken and written language skills representative of an educated professional.
- Strong technology skills for teaching students, maintaining records, and communications.
- Ability to articulate their faith and support the school’s Christian environment.
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons following existing plans for grades 6–12.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Support students’ academic progress and social-emotional development.
- Communicate effectively with faculty and staff about classroom activities.
- Supervise the education of students in the assigned classroom.
