Substitute Teacher (On Call): Possible regular hours
About The Position
The Schoolhouse Learning Center in South Burlington seeks to add staff to our substitute list for preschool-8th grade students in our nature- and play-based program. This is an on-call, part-time position that may extend to regularly scheduled shifts. Candidates should enjoy spending a lot of time outdoors in all weather, exploring, and teaching children about the natural world, as well as supporting a social-justice focused curriculum. This is a wonderful position for a college student, retiree, or anyone exploring an interest in teaching/education. As a substitute, you will receive phone calls either the morning of the opening or in advance for staff planned absences. If the shift works for you, that's great, and if it doesn't, we will contact you with the next opening.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- Willingness to complete a background check including fingerprints.
- Mandated Reporter Training (can do on the job).
Nice To Haves
- Some experience working with young children is preferred.
Responsibilities
