About The Position
Teachers Now is hiring dependable Substitute Teachers to support schools across the Kansas City area for the 2026-2027 school year. This role offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for individuals looking to make a difference in their community. No teaching certification is required; a High School Diploma or G.E.D. is sufficient. As a Substitute Teacher, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of regular teachers by following lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and supporting student engagement.

Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom instruction using lesson plans provided by the teacher
- Maintain a respectful and organized learning environment
- Manage classroom behavior and encourage participation
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
- Assign and review classwork and homework
- Record attendance and communicate concerns to school staff
- Support school staff in maintaining a safe and productive classroom
- For long-term assignments, substitutes may also develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
