About The Position

Kokua Education is seeking Substitute Teachers for the Colorado Springs, CO area for the 2026-27 school year. This part-time role allows you to set your own schedule, earn up to $193 per day, and make a positive impact on students' lives. We focus on placing positive role models in classrooms who spark a love for learning. You can start the interview process immediately and receive an offer within one week of applying. This position offers a path to full-time employment and the opportunity to teach close to home at various K-12 schools. We provide real support daily and encourage you to share your unique experiences with students.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
• Confidence in managing a classroom of students.
• Willingness to commute to Cimarron Hills.
• Willingness to pass state & federal background checks (costs reimbursed after 10 assignments).
• Belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, but non-degreed candidates will be considered based on relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Substitute teach in K-12 classrooms.
• Manage a classroom of students.
• Step in where needed, including lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season.
