About The Position
Teachers Now is seeking dependable and motivated Substitute Teachers to support schools in Brownsville, Mercedes, San Benito, and McAllen, Texas for the 2026-2027 school year. This role offers a flexible work schedule and the opportunity to make a difference in the community by maintaining a positive learning environment, delivering lesson plans, managing the classroom, and supporting student success in the absence of the regular teacher.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or at least 60 college credit hours (Required)
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Nice To Haves
- Classroom or childcare experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver teacher-provided lesson plans
- Maintain a positive and organized classroom
- Manage student behavior and participation
- Supervise students as needed
- Take attendance and communicate with school staff
- For long-term assignments, create and teach lesson plans aligned with curriculum
