About The Position
Holy Family School is looking for dependable and enthusiastic substitute teachers to join our school family! Our substitutes play an important role in keeping the school day running smoothly when teachers are absent. This position works with students in Pre-K4 through 8th grade and is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a faith-filled school community.
Requirements
- A genuine love for working with children and teens
- Flexibility and confidence in working with different grade levels
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Dependability and punctuality
- A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
- Respect for the Catholic faith and support of the school’s mission
- High school diploma required
Nice To Haves
- College coursework or a degree in education is preferred
- Previous experience working with children is a plus
- Teaching certification is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans left by the classroom teacher
- Keep students engaged and on task throughout the day
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and orderly classroom environment
- Supervise students during class, lunch, recess, and transitions as needed
- Communicate with the office and teachers regarding the day’s activities
- Encourage students to demonstrate kindness, respect, and responsibility
- Uphold the values and mission of Catholic education
