About The Position

Teachers Now is seeking dependable Substitute Teachers to support schools in the Waco area. This role offers a flexible schedule and does not require a teaching certification. If you have at least 60 college credit hours or an Associate's Degree, you may qualify. Substitute Teachers are responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of regular teachers by following lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and encouraging student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction using lesson plans provided by the teacher
• Maintain a respectful and organized learning environment
• Manage classroom behavior and encourage participation
• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions
• Assign and review classwork and homework
• Record attendance and communicate concerns to school staff
• Support school staff in maintaining a safe and productive classroom
• For long-term assignments, substitutes may also develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
