About The Position

Kokua Education is seeking passionate and dedicated Substitute Teachers to join our team in the Round Rock and surrounding Austin area for the 2026-27 school year. This part-time role offers the flexibility to set your own schedule and make a significant impact on students' lives by providing positive role models and sparking a love for learning. We are looking for individuals who can manage a classroom, are willing to assist with various school duties, and believe in the potential of every child. Successful candidates will be placed in K-12 schools, with opportunities for long-term assignments and a potential path to full-time positions.

Requirements

• At least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
• Completed 48+ college credit hours.
• Confident in managing a classroom of students.
• Willing to step in where needed (lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, testing proctoring).
• Pass state & federal background checks (costs reimbursed after 10 assignments).
• Belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classroom of students.
• Step in where needed, including lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season.
