About The Position
Kokua Education is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2026-27 school year in Duncanville and the surrounding Dallas area. This part-time role allows you to set your own schedule, earn up to $142 per day, and make a significant impact on students' lives by sparking a love for learning and serving as positive role models. Kokua Education, founded in 2011 by a former teacher, connects talented educators with K-12 schools nationwide, building a diverse network of substitute teachers who play a pivotal role in their communities.
Requirements
- At least 1 year working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
- Completed 48+ college credit hours.
- Confident in managing a classroom of students.
- Willing to step in where needed.
- Pass state & federal background checks.
- Believe every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.
- Include all relevant experience working with students on your resume.
Responsibilities
- Teach in classrooms, fulfilling the need for positive role models.
- Spark a love for learning in students.
- Step in where needed, including lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season.
- Add representation by helping kids learn from your unique experiences.
