About The Position
Rye Country Day School is seeking substitute teachers for its Lower, Middle, and Upper School classrooms. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, PreK-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York. The school is dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience with and enthusiasm for working with children in school or learning settings
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Comfort with technology, including a 1:1 laptop program and online course management systems
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree a plus
Responsibilities
- Work on an as-needed basis in the Lower, Middle, or Upper School classrooms
- Collaborate with RCDS administrators and teachers to deliver instruction, manage classrooms, and maintain student safety
- Collect and safeguard classroom materials
- Communicate with RCDS administrators and teachers such that they may share information with students and families during teacher absences
