About The Position

Kokua Education is hiring substitute teachers to work at K-12 schools in Cimarron Hills and the surrounding Colorado Springs area for the 2026-27 school year. Substitute teachers set their own schedules and may work up to five days per week in teaching assignments they choose. Assignments may include daily or long-term positions, with pay depending on experience and certification. The role may also involve lunch and recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children in any setting, such as a classroom, tutoring, or coaching.
• Confidence managing a classroom of students.
• Willingness to step in where needed, including supervision, tutoring, and proctoring.
• Willingness to commute to Cimarron Hills.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks; costs are reimbursed after 10 assignments.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, but candidates without a degree may be considered based on relevant work experience.

Responsibilities
