About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is seeking on-call Substitute Teachers to support mixed-age Montessori classrooms when full-time teachers are absent. The role supports multiple classrooms serving children ages 0–6 and helps maintain a calm, engaging, nurturing learning environment. It is an as-needed position with flexible hours; days and hours vary according to school needs. No formal Montessori training is required, as training is provided during orientation and onboarding. The position may offer an opportunity to move into a full-time Assistant Teacher role.

Requirements

• Valid state background check.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Warm, friendly, and dependable demeanor.
• Passion for working with young children.

Nice To Haves

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) units.
• Recent experience working with children ages 0–6.

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency.
• Assist with daily routines and classroom activities across mixed-age groups.
• Help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for children.
