About The Position

Kokua Education is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2026-27 school year in the Maple Grove and surrounding Minneapolis area. This part-time role allows you to set your own schedule, earn up to $195 per day, and make a significant impact on students' lives by becoming a positive role model and sparking a love for learning. We offer weekly paychecks, the opportunity to earn extra money on selected shifts, and a path to full-time employment in K-12 schools. You can choose assignments close to home and benefit from daily support and free professional development. We value diversity and encourage you to share your unique experiences with students.

Requirements

At least 6 months working with kids in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Hold a MN Substitute Teaching License or Educators license
Feel confident managing a classroom of students
Willing to step in where needed - this could include lunch/recess supervision, hallway monitoring, tutoring, and proctoring during testing season
Willing to work at least 2 days/week
Pass state & federal background checks
