About The Position

Kokua Education is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2026-27 school year in Saint Paul and Minneapolis. This part-time role allows you to set your own schedule, earn up to $195 per day, and make a positive impact on students' lives. Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience working with children in any setting (classroom, tutoring, coaching, etc.).
• A Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Hold a MN Substitute Teaching License or Educators license (assistance provided if not yet licensed).
• Ability to confidently manage a classroom of students.
• Willingness to step in where needed.
• Willingness to work at least 2 days per week.
• Pass state & federal background checks.
• Belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world.

Responsibilities

• Substitute teach in K-12 classrooms.
• Provide lunch/recess supervision.
• Assist with hallway monitoring.
• Offer tutoring support.
• Proctor during testing season.
