About The Position
Substitute-West Broward Academy is seeking a dedicated Substitute Teacher to provide instruction and classroom management in the absence of regular teachers. The role involves following lesson plans, maintaining classroom routines, and ensuring student safety and behavior.
Requirements
- Must have 60 hours of secondary education.
- Substitute Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reports to the building principal or school office manager upon arrival.
- Reviews plans and schedules with the principal, department head, or team leader.
- Maintains established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
- Teaches the lesson outlined in the Substitute Teacher’s guide.
- Oversees pupil behavior in class, during lunch, and recess periods.
- Reports in writing on the day’s activities at the conclusion of each teaching day.
- Follows all policies, rules, and procedures.
